Putting comprehension first
Altamira Language Learning is a resource for language teachers and authors of comprehensible-input-based texts, a team of teacher trainers, and a network of expertise on language teaching and learning.
We are dedicated to making language acquisition easy and fun through optimized immersion in compelling, comprehensible language, both in the classroom and in compelling comprehensible reading materials.
We do this in two ways:
• Guiding authors of language learner literature in the creation of comprehension-focused novels for language learners.
• Training teachers in comprehension-based communicative language teaching strategies.
